During this year life has moved forward and I found myself way out of balance. I was not paying attention and little by little balance disappeared and before I knew it I felt myself feeling overwhelmed and tired. I knew I had to look at everything and I am lucky I have a good friend who gave me a good talking to and got my attention. Balance requires prioritizing and I became so busy with work I neglected the most important aspect I needed to be able to keep working…. Me….

I found myself upping my coffee intake and eating unhealthy food. The world we live in is out of balance and we are bombarded by constant change and the speed of that change.

Hard to stay energized if we never take the time to energize or ground ourselves. Particularly important for Empaths who are bombarded by different energies anyway.

Our body, mind and spirit are not separate entities but part of a whole and we need to take care of the whole to function well.

We need to cherish our body by feeding it well and giving it physical exercise. We need to cherish our minds by giving it down time as well as work time, we need to sleep.

We need to cherish our soul by feeding it by being present and experiencing joy.

As we get busier we need to accept we can’t be all things to all people. This is one I have to work on constantly. It is okay for me to say no. This is looking after ourselves, respecting ourselves enough to set boundaries and understanding we aren’t meant to help everyone. (hard lesson for an Empath and healer)..

The key is to keep paying attention as it can so easily get away from us. Feeling passionate about what we do is so much nicer than feeling overwhelmed.

So be aware, be present and don’t let the dramas of life take you on a journey. Look for love in all things and remember to connect in all you do. We need focus, but focusing on only one area puts us out of balance.

Balance is possible, it is essential to our health and happiness. I wish you a life of love, wonder and balance.

Exercise – Paying attention

I would encourage you to keep a record of your day. Be honest with yourself, where did you spend the greatest part of it? What part did you spend the least time in? How often were you present during the day? What activities do you do that you find it hard to be present in? Where did I create and stick to my boundaries and where did I function without boundaries? Where did I spend time looking after me today?

This will give you an insight into the areas you need to work on being present in.
